2012 Chase Competitors
The Chase is a new format of racing in Hawaii. We invited former Honolulu Marathon champion, Jimmy Muindi and the 2011 champion, Nicholas Chelimo to lead the inaugural Chase at the Hapalua.
The Chase included 24 of Hawaii’s best runners who will got a head start on the elites. Women received a 18 minute head start on the professionals and the men a 9 minute lead.
The race was won by Thomas Puzey of Oahu.
